HTML Editor's notes:

The three lines now reading:

"and Sarah Young, who was a daughter of DAVID YOUNG and
Hannah Hendon, the first wife of DAVID YOUNG. ALMAN WADELL
MELVIN was born in Cypress Creek Township of Bladen County,"

were changed by Lionel after the book was published.
Originally they read:

"and Sarah Young, who was a daughter of DAVID YOUNG and Eliz-
 abeth Singletary, a second
wife of DAVID YOUNG. ALMAN WADELL
MELVIN was born in Cypress Creek Township of Bladen County,"

Two names on this page are in all capitals, but there is no
family page for KEMP, nor any head-of-family entry for either
HENRY MELVIN or BENJAMIN FITZRANDOLPH (KEMP)(1798-1841)
elsewhere in this book.  However, there is a head-of-family
entry for Mamie Thelma Melvin.

The spelling of LALAH RUTH MELVIN was provided by her daughter,
Flora Ruth (Boseman) Johnson, on February 3, 2007.
In the book it originally read: LALA RUTH MELVIN.
Likewise, the original Bosman here has been corrected to Boseman.
