Married Floyd Lawrence McDaniel of McDaniel's Cross-Roads, Sampson County, N.C., born 2 Oct. 1871, died 12 July 1930. He was a farmer and general merchant in Turn- bull Township of Bladen County, N.C., until his death. "Mis" BERTHA was a lady with a heart of gold - loved by everyone. Children of BERTHA MELVIN and Floyd Lawrence McDaniel: son, James McDaniel, born 30 June 1901 in Bladen County, N.C., died 21 Dec. 1956 in Cumberland County, N.C., buried in Cross Creek Cemetery, Fayetteville, N.C.
