Daughter of THOMAS BANNERMAN MELVIN (1876-1940) and Lena Mc- Kay Melvin of White Oak, Bladen County, N.C. Born at White Oak, N.C., 29 Jan. 1905, married John Fairbanks Motsinger, attorney, of Winston-Salem, N.C., born 30 Jan. 1902 at Wal- burg, N.C., the son of Andrew Sherman Motsinger (1865-1928) and Dora Ellen Bodenhamer (1872-1945). CLARISE attended the University of North Carolina and her husband graduated in law there. While there he coached collegiate wrestling, a sport in which he was champion. CLARISE was known as our kis- sing cousin. She was genuinely fond of her relatives. Doan Katherine Motsinger, born 18 June 1960 in Or- lando, Florida. son, John Fairbanks Motsinger, III, born 23 Sept. 1963 in Orlando, Florida. dau. Katherine Melvin Motsinger, born 3 April 1941 in Wins- ton-Salem, N.C. Married Cromer Raymond Grubbs, Jr. son, Raymond Chadwick Grubbs, born 20 July 1971. dau.
