my said daughter Catherine Smith one bed and furniture. two
cows and calves. two sows and pigs. two two year old hogs.
two ewes and lambs. which I have heretofore given her.
 
     8th. I give and bequeath unto my beloved daughter Sarah
Monroe and the heirs of her body my negro woman Clamy with
all the increase which she now has or may hereafter have.
one bed and furniture. two cows and calves. two sows and pigs.
two two year old hogs. and two ewes and lambs which I have
heretofore given her.
 
     9th. I give and bequeath to my son George W, Melvin in
trust only to be applied to the sole use and benefit of my
beloved daughter Jane Monroe and the heirs of her body. one
tenth part of the proceeds of the sales which I shall here-
after direct to be made of my perishable property including
negroes.
 
     I further give and bequeath unto my said daughter Jane
Monroe my negro Woman Eliza. one Bed and furniture. two cows
and calves. two sows and pigs. two two two year old hogs.
two ewes and lambs. which I have heretofore loaned her.
 
     10th. I give and bequeath unto my grandson Robert Young.
my negro woman Comfort with all her increase and Peggy Ann
and Sandy with their increase. also one bed and furniture.
two cows and calves. two sows and pigs. two two year old
hogs. two ewes and lambs. which I have heretofore loaned to
his mother. my beloved daughter Elizabeth Young.
 
     11th. It is my Will and desire that at my death my Ex-
ecutors hereafter to be named sell to the highest bidder on
a credit of six months all the lands which I may be posessed
of at my death. and the proceeds thereof to be equally div-
ided among my four sons. Robert Melvin. Daniel Melvin. Ar-
thur Melvin. George W. Melvin and heirs of my beloved son
John Melvin.
 
     12th. It is my Will and desire that at my death my Ex-
ecutors hereafter to be named sell on a credit of six months
all my negroes  and stock of every kind and other property
that I may be in posession of at my death. and have not other-
wise disposed of. and the proceeds arising therefrom together
with all the monies. notes and accounts. and debts of every
description that may be due me after paying for my funeral
expenses and other just debts that I may be owing be equally
divided among my beloved children as follows. viz:
 
     To Robert Melvin. Daniel Melvin. the heirs of Ann Her-
rington. Arthur Melvin. the heirs on John Melvin. Catherine
Smith. Sarah Monroe. my grandson Robert Young. George W. Mel-
vin in trust only to be applied to the sole use and benefit
of my daughter Jane Monroe and the heirs of her body. as a-
bove stated and to my son George W. Melvin. each one tenth
part. It is also my Will and desire should my said grandson
Robert Young die without issue that all my property which I
have given him. return to my children above named and their
heirs.
 
     Lastly: I hereby appoint my Worthy sons, Robert Melvin.
Danied Melvin. Arthur and George W. Melvin. Executors of this
my last Will and Testament.
