to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and seal the
day and year first above written.
Signed. sealed. published and declared by the said Dan-
iel Melvin. Senr. the Testator as his last Will and Testament
in presence of the subscribing witnesses. who were present at
the time of signing and sealing thereof.

Now in open Court. Daniel Melvin. Arthur Melvin and George W.
Melvin offer for Probate the paper writing herewith as the
last Will and Testament of Daniel Melvin, dec'd, and there-
fore the same is duly proved by the testamony of Kennith Mc-
Leod. and Owen Smith. the subscribing witnesses thereto in
common form. and is duly declared in every part thereof to
be the last Will and Testament of the said Daniel Melvin.
sufficient in law thereof to be the last Will and Testament
of the said Daniel Melvin. sufficient in law to pass his real
and personal property. and it is ordered that the same be re-
corded.
Whereupon the aforesaid Daniel Melvin. Arthur Melvin
and George W. Melvin being nominated as Executors. are duly
qualified and admitted to act accordingly.

Note; Robert Melvin, the 1st named executor in the will
above, died 11 Aug. 1846, 17 days before his father,
Daniel, died on the 28th of the same month; therefore,
explaining why he does not appear in the records above
as one of the executors.
