Daughter of WILLIAM EVANDER MELVIN (1847-1906) and Rebecca
Young (1850-1892) of White Oak, Bladen County, N.C. Born 26
Aug. 1882 at White Oak, died 28 May 1965 at White Oak and
buried in the David B. Melvin Cemetery. Married Samuel Robe-
son, born 13 Jan, 1869 in Bladen County, N.C., died 8 Dec.
1941 at White Oak, N.C., and buried in the David B. Melvin
Cemetery, son of Evander McNair Robeson and Sarah Elmira Dun-
ham who was born 9 June 1843 and died 2 June 1930, a daugh-
ter of James Snowden Dunham. See ROBESON-BARTRAM FAMILY.

     of Alexander McAllister Council and Annie Cromartie,
     dau. of William J. Cromartie and granddaughter of JOHN
