Married, first, 24 April 1898 in Ebro, Washington Co., Fla., Nettie Jenette Rooks, born 10 Jan. 1881 in Washing- ton County, the daughter of George Daniel Rooks and Nancy Ann McKinne. Nettie Jenette Melvin died 12 April 1924 at West Bay, Bay County, Fla., and was buried there 13 April 1924. HENRY DANIEL MELVIN married, second, in 1924 Lauria Register, married, third, 4 Nov. 1926 Nora Spooner, fourth, 5 April 1929 Neta Barkley, fifth, 9 March 1948 Melvina Dorch, sixth, 1 Dec. 1949 Sarah Money. He was a farmer and turpentine distiller. Son of RALPH PRESTON MELVIN (1875-1943) of White Lake, N.C., and Jimmie Octavia Page (1872-1920) of Harrell's Store, Samp- son County, N.C. Born in Bladen County at White Lake 25 Oct. 1905, died 17 July 1968.
