Kenneth B. Council Sr.

     WHITE OAK -- Kenneth Bradley Council Sr., 79, of White Oak, died Sunday in
Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.

     Mr. Council was a farmer and a veteran of World War II.

     The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in White Oak Baptist Church by
the Rev. Scott Lewis. Burial will be in the Council family cemetery. Arrangements
are being handled by Butler Funeral Home.

     Mr. Council is survived by his wife, Ruby Council of the home; four daughters,
Linda C. Henschel of Clinton, Roxanne C. Rankin and Ruby C. Ruehle, both of
White Oak, and Mary C. Batten of Chadbourn; a son, Kenneth B. Council Jr. of
White Oak; a brother, W. Aubrey Council of Richmond, Va.; six grandchildren; and
four great- grandchildren.

     The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the home of George and Patty
Council, 8023 Burney Road.

     In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
